Van Metre Homes is building 14 single-family homes in the current phase at Lansdowne on the Potomac in Leesburg, with more to come. Residents can enjoy swimming, a fitness center, walking trails and the Lansdowne golf course, and an additional golf course is in the planning stages.

Each home in this Loudoun County community will include a stone or brick stoop, 6-inch beaded vinyl siding, professional landscaping and a two-car garage. Stone and brick fronts are optional.

Inside, both models feature four bedrooms; 3 1/2 baths; hardwood flooring in the two-story foyer and the powder room; 9-foot ceilings on the main level; crown and chair-rail moldings; a gas fireplace; 42-inch cabinets in the center-island kitchen; ceramic-tile flooring and tub and shower surrounds in all baths; a master bath with a tub and separate shower; and gas heat and hot water.

The homes have 2,850 to 3,300 finished square feet, with base prices from $454,900 to $474,900.

The Aspen model, with 2,850 square feet, is priced from $454,900. This home features an open floor plan with a living room and dining room on one side of the two-story foyer and a family room at the rear open to the breakfast area and kitchen.

A deck and screened porch are available options, along with arched openings to the family room and half or quarter-round transom windows. A powder room and a laundry room with access to the garage complete this level.

Upstairs, the master suite has an optional tray ceiling; two walk-in closets; and a bath with a corner tub, a separate shower and two sinks. The second and third bedrooms share a hall bath, while the fourth bedroom has a private bath and a walk-in closet.

Options include finished lower levels, screened porches, decks and bay windows.
