Silverwood Homes is building 96 condominium homes at the Sierra Condominium in Arlington, where residents can enjoy a fitness center, a landscaped courtyard and a business center.
The four-story building will include a brick and Hardiplank exterior, elevators, and secure below-grade parking. Some homes include a balcony.
The 17 models have one bedroom or two bedrooms; one, 11/2 or 21/2 baths; ceramic-tile flooring in the foyer, kitchen and bathrooms; 9-foot ceilings throughout; a self-cleaning gas range, maple raised-panel cabinets and granite counters in the kitchen; a stackable washer and dryer; and prewired high-speed Internet access and cable television. Some models have dens; some have lofts.
The homes have 778 to 1,395 finished square feet, with base prices from about $195,000 to $385,000. Ten of the units will be offered at lower prices and with special financing to first-time home buyers whose incomes are a maximum of 60 percent of the area median income.
The C5 unit, with 1,282 square feet, features a kitchen off the foyer, a dining room and a great room with a sliding glass door to the balcony. The master suite includes a large bedroom, a walk-in closet, and a bath with a tub and separate shower. The second bedroom has a wall closet and private access to a full bath. Top-level units can include a fireplace and coffered ceilings.
The C2LM unit, with 1,205 square feet, has a kitchen off the foyer, a dining room, a living room with a sliding glass door to a balcony and a loft overlooking the living room with a walk-in closet. This model includes a walk-in closet and a private bath in the master suite, plus a second bedroom and a second full bath.
