Drawing a crowd

Graphic-novel readers and film buffs alike may already be familiar with the childhood Marjane Satrapi spent in Iran during the Islamic Revolution. She recounted the period in both the 2003 graphic novel “Persepolis” and last year’s film of the same name. The author/illustrator will discuss these works tonight at 7:30 at the McLean Community Center’s Alden Theatre (1234 Ingleside Ave., McLean). Free tickets are available starting at 7 p.m. Information: 703/324-8428 or www.mcleancenter.org.
