LOUISVILLE, KY. (AP) - Wood Memorial winner I Want Revenge has completed a half-mile workout at Churchill Downs in preparation for the May 2 Kentucky Derby.

The colt covered the distance on a muddy track Tuesday in 50 seconds, which was 18th fastest among 25 workouts at the distance.

California-based jockey Joe Talamo was aboard I Want Revenge.

Trainer Jeff Mullins said I Want Revenge needed to get on the track because he’s been quite rambunctious in the barn.

He said the colt would probably work out again on April 21.

Arkansas Derby winner Papa Clem arrived at Churchill Downs on Tuesday.

Santa Anita Derby winner Pioneerof the Nile and second-place finisher Chocolate Candy are scheduled to arrive Thursday on a flight from California.
