COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. (AP) - Acting U.S. Olympic Committee CEO Stephanie Streeter has resigned her position from the federation’s board of directors.

Streeter was on the nine-member board that named her to replace ousted CEO Jim Scherr last month.

The USOC also announced Friday that Streeter would serve as acting CEO at least through the Vancouver Olympics and will be able to put herself in consideration as the permanent replacement.

Sometime after September, board chairman Larry Probst will appoint a subcommittee of board members to oversee a search for the permanent replacement.
