LONG BEACH, CALIF. (AP) - Helio Castroneves is getting back to speed in a hurry, turning in the seventh-fastest lap in practice for the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.

Castroneves flew to Long Beach on Friday night after being acquitted of most tax evasion charges in federal court in Miami.

The Brazilian was in his No. 3 Team Penske Dallara on Saturday. He ran both ends of a split 60-minute practice on the temporary street circuit in downtown Long Beach.

The two-time Indianapolis 500 winner and former “Dancing With the Stars” champion drove the car that had been taken over temporarily by Will Power. Power switched to another Penske car and was third fastest.
