LONG BEACH, CALIF. (AP) - Will Power has won the pole for the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.

Power didn’t slow down a bit after being replaced Saturday in one Team Penske car when Helio Castroneves returned after being acquitted of five of six tax evasion charges. The Australian jumped into another Penske car and outdueled former IndyCar Series champion Dario Franchitti for the top qualifying spot.

Rookie Raphael Matos was third, followed by E.J. Viso, Justin Wilson and reigning IndyCar champion Scott Dixon.

Castroneves, who had not driven a race car since last October, got in 60 minutes of practice before qualifying eighth for Sunday’s 23-car field.
