PARIS (AP) - Officials say that three suspected members of the Basque separatist organization ETA have been arrested in southern France, and an official of Spain’s Interior Ministry says that one is considered to be the organization’s current military leader.

France’s Interior Ministry says only that 3 suspected militants were arrested Saturday in Montauriol, in the Pyrenees Orientales region.

However, a spokesman for Spain’s Interior Ministry identifies one of the three as Jurdan Martitiegi Lizaso and says he is considered ETA’s current military chief.
