NEW HAVEN, CONN. (AP) - In an April 19 story about a lawsuit accusing the city of New Haven of violating the rights of white firefighters by discarding a promotion test because no blacks would have been promoted, The Associated Press erroneously reported one of the credentials of psychologists who filed a Supreme Court brief supporting the defendants. They are elected fellows of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, not officers of the organization, which isn’t involved in the suit.
