ATKA, ALASKA (AP) - A moderate earthquake has rumbled through the Andreanof Islands region of Alaska’s western Aleutians island chain.
The Alaska Earthquake Information Center says the magnitude 5.2 quake was centered 37 miles east of the tiny community of Atka.
Residents of Atka felt the tremor early Tuesday, but no damage was reported.
