Ryan Homes is building nine single-family homes on homesites of 6,080 to 10,754 square feet at Kings Arms in Laurel, near the Laurel MARC train station, parks, shopping areas and historic Laurel.

The builder is offering $8,000 toward closing costs and upgraded appliances with the use of the preferred lender.

Each home in this Howard County community will include low-maintenance vinyl siding, professional landscaping and a two-car garage.

Inside, all four models feature three or four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, 8- and 9-foot ceilings on the main level, smooth ceilings, solid-oak stained railings, 42-inch oak cabinets and a storage pantry in the kitchen, a walk-in closet in the master bedroom and gas heat.

The homes have about 1,680 to 2,528 finished square feet, with base prices from $399,990 to $437,990. Homeowner association fees are $41 per month.

The Venice model, with 2,224 square feet, is priced from $427,990. This home features a foyer leading to an open room that buyers can use as either a formal living room or a formal dining room. Nearby are a powder room and a staircase .

Across the back of the home are a family room, a dining area and the kitchen. Buyers can add an optional island to the kitchen, which has an adjacent mudroom leading to the garage.

Upstairs, the master suite has a walk-in closet and a private full bath. Three more bedrooms, a second full bath and a laundry room complete this level.

Options include finished lower levels, fireplaces, and an upgraded master bath. Buyers can also convert the fourth bedroom upstairs to a loft.
