WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama plans a major speech in France on the U.S. trans-Atlantic relationship. And one on nuclear proliferation during a stop in the Czech Republic.
And his first overseas trip this coming week also includes plans for meetings with the leaders of China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, India and South Korea.
Obama is pledging to listen to foreign leaders and to lead by example when world powers meet in Europe at the G-20’s financial summit.
Obama departs Tuesday. He stops in London, attends NATO meetings in France and Germany and holds talks in the Czech Republic.
In a stop in Turkey, advisers say Obama will make clear that Turkey is a vital NATO member and close U.S. ally.
