The White House said Friday the special guests for this year’s Easter Egg Roll will include U.S. Olympic speed skater Apolo Ohno, author J.K. Rowling, actress Reese Witherspoon and the cast from the hit Fox TV show “Glee.”

The event takes place Monday on the South Lawn of the White House and includes 30,000 guests from every state and the District of Columbia.

This years activities will reflect the theme “Ready, Set, Go!” which follows first lady Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move!” initiative — a national effort to combat childhood obesity, according to the White House.

The Easter Egg Roll is a White House tradition that officially started in 1878 with President Rutherford B. Hayes. However, records show informal egg-rolling events as early as Abraham Lincolns administration.

In addition to the traditional egg hunt and egg roll, the White House will have a sports zone, a yoga garden and a story and music stage.

Other special guests will include singer Sara Bareilles, chef Nora Poullion and NFL players leading children in healthy activities.

The major story-time readers and musical guests will have their performances broadcast live on www.whitehouse.gov/eastereggroll. A full schedule will be posted Monday morning.

The events are scheduled to begin at 7:45 a.m. and end at 5:45 p.m. Roughly 250,000 tickets were requested through the online lottery.
