Plenty of families have both golfers and beach-lovers, so finding that perfect vacation home to accommodate each family member’s idea of fun can be a challenge. At GlenRiddle in Berlin, Md., homebuyers will find the ultimate vacation-home setting with amenities for swimmers, golfers, tennis players, boaters and beachcombers.

Pulte Homes, the developer of GlenRiddle, has designed the community on a 1,000-acre site with forests, waterways and parklands. Two championship golf courses are on-site, along with a 96-slip marina. The community clubhouse for residents includes an outdoor swimming pool, a terrace, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, a billiards room, a fitness center, tennis courts, a business center, a lounge and a grand hall for elegant or informal community events.

A short drive from the boardwalk and beaches in Ocean City, Md., and Delaware, GlenRiddle is just two miles from the ocean. Downtown Berlin, which has boutiques and restaurants, is just a few minutes away by car. For bigger shopping sprees, residents can visit the West Ocean City outlets, Rehoboth Beach outlets or Salisbury Mall.

The homes at GlenRiddle have been designed to accommodate vacationing families but also suit year-round living. Lawn maintenance is included in the monthly $220 homeowners association fee.

Pulte Homes recently introduced four new beach-inspired single-family homes at GlenRiddle, each with 1,600 to 2,600 finished square feet and the option for building them as one- or two-level homes. The homes are built on quarter-acre homesites and are base-priced from $329,000 to $375,000.

They have low-maintenance exteriors with cement plank siding and a shake roof, a two-car garage, professionally landscaped and sodded homesites, and a low-maintenance composite decking on the front porch.

Inside, standard features include hardwood flooring in the foyer, 9-foot ceilings on the main level, crown and chair-rail molding, high-tech wiring, low-E windows, and gas heat and hot water. Each kitchen has 42-inch flat-panel birch cabinets, granite counters and ceramic tile flooring. The master bath has a soaking tub and separate shower, and each bath has ceramic tile flooring and birch vanity cabinets.

The Cooper Ridge loft model, with 2,263 finished square feet, is priced from $359,000. This home has a front porch leading into a foyer that opens into a two-story great room with a wall of windows and a glass door to the deck. The great room opens to the breakfast area and the kitchen, which has a breakfast bar. Buyers can add a fireplace, sunroom, screened porch or expanded deck to this model.

The first-floor master suite has an optional tray ceiling and includes a walk-in closet, a linen closet and a luxury bath with a double-sink vanity, a soaking tub and separate shower.

The first floor also has a library and a laundry room with a door to the garage. On the opposite side of the home are a second bedroom and a second full bath.

Upstairs are a loft, a third bedroom and a third full bath.

Buyers can opt to convert the great room to a one-level room and another bedroom upstairs.
