RIVERDALE, Md. (AP) — Prince George’s County Police Chief Roberto Hylton says two women and two children have been found dead in an apartment above a detached garage at a suburban Maryland home.

Hylton said police are questioning many people at police headquarters Friday morning, and believe the attack at the home in Riverdale was not random. He would not reveal the causes of the victims’ deaths.

It appears that people were living apartment, but Hylton says the area has no running water or toilet facilities. He says the amount of trash in that living space is making police work difficult.

Officers say they responded to a call from someone on the property who reported an assault early Friday. They found the bodies of two women and a boy and girl under 6. All four were pronounced dead on the scene.
