ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Whether or not you liked diplomat Richard Holbrooke - who recently passed away - he was always admirable.

Mr. Holbrooke was a straight shooter who told it like it was, even if it resulted in irritating others or getting himself in trouble. He was one of the few diplomats who you could truly depend on to get things done.
