LINTHICUM, Md. (AP) — Air travelers who didn’t make it out of town before the snow hit could be in for a bit of a wait.

Maryland Department of Transportation Secretary Beverley Swaim-Staley said Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport was closed Saturday. Cancellations were expected Sunday and possibly Monday as airlines work to move planes back to the airport.

She urged travelers not to head the airport before calling their airline, saying it will take carriers some time to get airplanes to BWI.

At Dulles International Airport, some international flights were still scheduled Saturday afternoon, but airport spokeswoman Courtney Mickalonis urged passengers to check with their airlines to be sure.

All flights out of Reagan National airport were also canceled Saturday.
