ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Prince George’s County Executive Jack Johnson and his wife, who have been arrested by federal authorities, are scheduled for an initial appearance in federal court.

Mr. Johnson and his wife, Leslie, are scheduled to have an initial appearance on late Friday afternoon in U.S. District Court in Greenbelt before U.S. Magistrate Judge William Connelly. The Johnsons were taken into custody earlier in the day.

Maryland U.S. Attorney Rod Rosenstein, FBI Special Agent in Charge Richard A. McFeely and Rebecca Sparkman of the Internal Revenue Service-Criminal Investigation have scheduled a news conference after the court appearances.
