VILLANOVA, PA. (AP) - Police say that Villanova freshman forward JayVaughn Pinkston was involved in an altercation that led to an assault report early Sunday morning.

Detective Sgt. Jeffrey Maurer says there is an investigation into an altercation in a residential area of Upper Merion Township. He says there have been no arrests.

Maurer says Upper Merion Township authorities responded at the request of another police agency early Sunday morning at Bryn Mawr Hospital for an assault report involving this case.

He expect a decision by the end of the week.

Villanova says it is reviewing an off-campus incident involving forward Pinkston and other students on Saturday night.
