ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Rep. Christopher Carney, Pennsylvania Democrat, is taking credit for the Teaching American History Grant, nearly a million dollars that will essentially be used to get teachers more excited about history. The hope is this excitement will filter down to students.

But any teacher worth his salt should know how little regard for history Mr. Carney really has. He voted for the mandatory health insurance bill, an unconstitutional insult to our Founding Fathers.

I think we can all guess what sort of history these children will learn with the aid of this money. It will no doubt portray America in the worst light possible. President Obama has been apologizing for our country to the rest of the world since he was elected.
