Members of the Washington Redskins are holding their own two-day minicamp during the NFL lockout.

Linebacker Lorenzo Alexander said about 25 to 30 players gathered at a high school field in Virginia on Tuesday for a workout that lasted about 1 hour, 15 minutes. He said he’s expecting more players Wednesday.

The practice was organized by linebacker London Fletcher. Alexander said players came from all over to participate, with quarterback John Beck flying in from San Diego.

Rex Grossman was the only other quarterback present. Donovan McNabb did not take part.

Receiver Anthony Armstrong said the players did basic practice work, including 7-on-7 drills. He said the workout was as much mental as physical, giving everyone a refresher on the play book.
