Liberty Homes is building 43 town homes at the Landing at Emerson, a planned community with a clubhouse, two swimming pools, tennis courts, volleyball courts, a playground and miles of walking paths. The community includes approximately 250 acres of open space with woods and streams.

Plans call for a shopping center and office park within Emerson, which is near commuter routes and shopping centers in Columbia.

Each home in this Howard County community will include maintenance-free 6-inch beaded vinyl siding, paneled shutters and a one- or two-car garage.

Inside, both models feature three finished levels with three bedrooms and 2½ baths; ceramic tile flooring in the foyer and full baths; 9-foot ceilings on the main and upper levels; 42-inch maple cabinets, stainless steel appliances and recessed lighting in the center-island kitchen; a private master bath with double sinks; a high-tech wiring system; a security system; a rough-in for a lower-level bath; a finished basement; and high-efficiency heating and air conditioning.

The homes have 1,782 to 1,935 finished square feet, with base prices from the $340,000s. Homeowner association fees are $30 per month plus a fee based on the home’s assessed value.

The Maya’s Manor model, with 1,935 square feet, is priced from the $340,000s. This home includes a two-car garage on the lower level along with a recreation room.

The main level has a living room with three windows and built-in shelving to define the dining room. The kitchen and breakfast area are at the back of the house.

An alternate floor plan has a front kitchen with the family room and dining room at the back.

Upstairs, the master suite has a walk-in closet, a standard closet and a private bath. Two more bedrooms, a second full bath and a closet for a washer and dryer complete this level.

Options include fireplaces, a deck and a lower-level powder room or full bath.
