LONDON (AP) - James Murdoch says News Int’l will run advertisements in major British newspapers to apologize to the nation for the phone hacking scandal.

Scrambling to get on top of the crisis, Murdoch says the company will follow this up in the future with communications that address “the wrongdoing that occurred.”

Murdoch heads the international operations of the New York-based News Corp. and has been considered to be the heir apparent to his father, Rupert Murdoch.
