ANALYSIS/OPINION:

The world should be horrified and saddened by the recent brutal murder of an innocent Israeli family in the West Bank town of Itamar (“Israel OKs settlement after fatal attack,” Geopolitics, Monday).

Five members of the Fogel family were stabbed to death at night while they were resting in their home, allegedly by Palestinian terrorists. One family member was a three-month-old baby. Palestinians celebrated while what is left of the family, which includes a now-orphaned 12-year-old, eight-year-old and two-year-old, and the community mourns this atrocity.

After the Holocaust the world pledged “never again.” How many times will we have to repeat it? It is time the deniers of terrorism came to their senses and call these people what they really are - evil, murdering, cowardly terrorists. It’s time for all people who recognize the evils of terrorism to act in support of the people of Israel.

God will deal with these evil maniacs when their time comes. Until then, people of good will must take a stand against terrorism of all kinds and defend the innocent among us. God expects nothing less of humankind and we should demand much more of ourselves.
