DISTRICT HEIGHTS | Prince George’s County police say two people were shot, one fatally, early Thursday, and the shooting of a third person could be related.

Officers responded to the 2900 block of Victory Lane in District Heights at about 4:22 a.m., where they found two men with gunshot wounds, said police spokesman Cpl. Henry Tippett.

“One was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was hospitalized,” Cpl. Tippett said.

He said a woman showed up at a police substation in the District not far from the shooting scene also suffering from a gunshot wound.

“We’re trying to determine if she was shot in D.C. or shot in the county,” he said.

Cpl. Tippett said the victims have not been identified and the motive for the shooting has not been established.

The homicide was the 23rd so far this year in Prince George’s County.
