A D.C. man arrested on charges of probation violation is expected to be charged in last week’s jewelry store homicide in Arlington.

James Sylvester Caroline, 52, was arrested on Wednesday for a probation violation, police said. He is currently being held without bond in the Arlington County Detention Facility.

The fatal armed robbery on the 3200 block of Columbia Pike has been under investigation since July 27. Police found the body of 52-year-old Tommy Wong just before midnight at the store after he failed to return home.
