Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with the attack and gang rape of a woman in Greenbelt.

Sheldon Snead, 18, of no fixed address, and K’Vaughn Brandon Hines, 18, of the 3000 block of Queens Chapel Road, in Mount Rainier, were charged Thursday with first- and second-degree rape, sex offense and assault charges, according to court records.

Charges could be filed against two other men in the attack on a 24-year-old College Park woman Dec. 17.

Greenbelt Police said the woman was walking in the 6000 block of Cherrywood Lane when she was dragged into a wooded area and assaulted by as many as four men.

Greenbelt Police Department spokeswoman Officer Kelly Lawson said investigators are trying to determine the “exact role” the other two men played.

Mr. Hines and Mr. Snead are being held without bond at a Prince George’s County Department of Corrections facility.

Preliminary hearings are scheduled for Mr. Hines on Feb. 3 and Mr. Snead on Feb. 8 in county District Court.
