Rush Limbaugh is his own boss, but he does need advertisers. I appreciate his courage in exercising his First Amendment rights in saying what he believes, but he’s smart enough to know his detractors on the political left would seize his statement about the contraception mandate in our politically correct society in an attempt to dethrone him (“Rush Limbaugh apologizes to Georgetown law student for insulting her,” Web, Saturday).

It’s amazing. We have deadly tornadoes, $5-a-gallon gas, a near-nuclear Iran, a presidential election in eight months, yet the comments of a long-outspoken radio talk-show host get top billing. What a media we have.
