“President Obama is hosting world leaders and gets to remind everyone here and abroad he is the leader of the free world. He has spoken tough to Europe, telling the EU to cool it on austerity measures, amid horrific pictures of Greeks begging in the streets. His polling numbers remain unchanged [-] just about tied with Mitt Romney and a 48 percent job approval. But there is tension in the air. Though gas prices seem to have stabilized, those pictures from Greece are a powerful presence [-] will the other shoe drop there, and here? These are tenuous times and sometimes it is not a good thing to be reminding people that you are in charge. However, a note to the Right: do Americans really want to talk about the birth of a 50-year-old man and a marriage briefly on the rocks 12 years ago? Tacky. Very tacky.”
