According to a former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the greatest threat to America’s security is the national debt — now more than $16 trillion. President Obama, along with Bill Clinton, many Democrats and supported by the liberal media, repeatedly alleges that in 2008, he inherited the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression — and is therefore not to blame for the great threat of the national debt.

Between 2006 and 2010, Congress was led by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Nevada Democrat, and then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat. They drove the budget, motivated by a liberal spending philosophy, like a fast racing car. They had their collective foot on the gas pedal, with outvoted President George W. Bush placed in the back seat between 2006 and 2008, raising the national debt and taxing our economy into destruction of the American dream.

Now sequestration is set to take effect on Jan. 2, 2013, with catastrophic cuts to defense spending possible while the national debt increases rapidly — something President Obama claimed on David Letterman we don’t need to worry about in the short-term.
