NBC’s entertainment chief has announced several new high-profile projects in the works, including a four-hour miniseries about Hillary Rodham Clinton to star Diane Lane.

The role of Bill Clinton has not yet been cast, nor is there a completed script yet, NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt said at a Television Critics Association executive session, Variety reported Saturday.

Mr. Greenblatt said the series likely would air before Mrs. Clinton formally announces a run for president.

“Hillary” will follow Mrs. Clinton from the Monica Lewinsky scandal in 1998 through the present day, Variety reported. The script will be penned by Courtney Hunt, who wrote and directed “Frozen River,” Variety said.
