DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES (AP) - Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy will play in the Dubai Desert Classic in 2014 when the tournament marks its 25th year.

Both skipped the tournament last year to play the Abu Dhabi Championship. Woods has twice won the Dubai event, and McIlroy notched his first professional victory there at age 19.

Woods says he has “really good memories” of playing in the $2.5 million tournament, which will run from Jan. 30 to Feb. 2.

McIlroy adds he’s looking forward to returning to the event, adding that it “will be fun to be part of the 25th anniversary celebrations of the tournament.”
