In the article, “House votes to ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy” (Web, June 19), Rep. Frederica S. Wilson, Florida Democrat, stated, “It’s a woman’s body She alone bears the burden ” That is correct, but is it a burden she wants?

The Supreme Court gave each pregnant woman the right to choose life or death for the child in her womb. But with a right also comes responsibility and accountability. In Luke 12:48, Jesus said, “From everyone who has been given much, much will be required.” God has given women the incredible opportunity and awesome responsibility to continue the human race by having children. Some women may not be able to have children, and some may choose not to get pregnant. Regardless of how she became pregnant, God will hold each woman responsible for how she cared for her unborn child.

Do women really want to stand before God at the Last Judgment and explain why they had the innocent unborn child in their womb murdered by abortion?

Democrats may care about women’s reproductive rights, but Republicans care for their bodies and souls.
