Aaron Carter, younger brother of the blond Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, found himself in a 1990s boy band turf war in Boston on Saturday night after, he claims, fans of New Kids on the Block jumped him.

The 25-year-old singer told TMZ he was leaving dinner with a friend when a man approached him in the parking lot and yelled: “I heard you’re doing a show here tomorrow. This is the town of the New Kids.”

Mr. Carter said that three other guys then jumped out of a gold Chevy Malibu and jumped him, adding that he was able to get in a couple of blows.

“I think my knuckles might be broken, but that’s what they get. People think I’m a pretty little white boy but no way. I think I won. I’m still standing,” he told TMZ.

The performer took to Twitter on Sunday to explain the encounter.

“It’s true, I got … jumped last night. But I’m a soldier. … Errrrr,” he said. “I’m a 6th degree black belt in Muay Thai. They lost.”

Mr. Carter still performed Sunday night as planned and is not filing a police report because it’s “girlie,” he told TMZ. He posted photos to his Instagram account of him sporting a black eye and bruised knuckles.
