“Game of Thrones” actor Clive Mantle had the top of his ear bitten off after he was brutally attacked in a hotel Sunday morning after asking two rowdy men outside his room to keep it quiet.

At about 4:30 a.m., “there were two drunken Scotsmen” making a lot of noise outside Mr. Mantle’s room, his agent, Bryn Newton, told Mirror News.

“That’s when they set about him. Even though he is a big guy, they got him on the ground,” he said. “One of them bit the top part of his right ear off. It was savage.”

Paramedics arrived to the scene at the Travelodge, near Newcastle, where they took the actor to the nearest hospital. They were able to recover the piece of the ear and reattach it.

Two 32-year-old men from Hamilton, near Glasgow, have been arrested in connection with the attack, Mirror News reports.

Mr. Mantle plays Greatjon Umber in the U.S. series “Game of Thrones.”
