LOS ANGELES (AP) — Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer says the actress has checked into a rehab facility, but it remains unclear whether a judge will accept her placement there.

Attorney Mark Jay Heller told Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James R. Dabney that Miss Lohan had checked into rehab, but prosecutors have not signed off on the facility.

Santa Monica City Attorney Terry White told Judge Dabney he didn’t have time to investigate the rehab and needed time to do so.

The actress was ordered in March to serve 90 days in a lockdown rehab facility. She pleaded no contest to reckless driving and lying to police after a June accident.

Judge Dabney said Miss Lohan should remain in the program for now. The judge told the city attorney to inform him by May 10 whether prosecutors approve the facility.
