Police responded to shots fired at Bush Intercontinental Airport in Texas Thursday afternoon after a man fatally shot himself with an AR-15 near a security checkpoint.

According to KHOU 11 News, witnesses say the suspect walked into the ticket area inside Terminal B and fired at least two shots into the air with the rifle.

A Houston Police Department captain said an air marshal fired at the suspect, but missed. The man then pulled out a pistol and shot himself.
