Even down here in South Carolina, the nasty smear campaign against Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli as he runs for governor is making the news.

We remember Mr. Cuccinelli from the days when he enlightened the nation about the dangers of Obamacare. He correctly sounded the alarm, warning us that Obamacare was a bad law that would hurt businesses and bankrupt many individuals. Sadly, not enough people paid attention, and we are now subject to that most disastrous grand scheme to redistribute wealth in the name of health care, which will probably push the nation into financial collapse. We are just now starting to see proof that Mr. Cuccinelli was right.

Mr. Cuccinelli is a stand-up guy who works hard in the best interests of the people of his state and all Americans. It would be unfortunate to know that his opponent, a candidate who chose to run his unscrupulous campaign from the gutter, could prevail. We hope the voters of Virginia are astute enough to recognize Terry McAuliffe’s self-serving intent.

I thank Ken Cuccilnelli for his outstanding service and for his dedication to the Constitution. I wish him well.
