RICHMOND, VA. (AP) - Juan Pablo Montoya was honored by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C., on Thursday night with an award for sports.

The 26th annual Hispanic Heritage Awards were held at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and the ceremony celebrated Hispanic cultural pride, contributions and accomplishments. The awards were established in 1987 by President Ronald Regan to commemorate the creation of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Since its creation, the awards have honored top Latino leaders in various categories for their impact on America and the world.

Also honored Thursday night was actress Eva Longoria, who received a community service award.
