Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia may spend the majority of his workday hours in the nation’s capital city, but that doesn’t mean he’s a fan of the local sports teams.

At least for the Redskins, the conservative justice has little love.

“I’m not much of a football fan,” he said, NESN reported. “To the extent I am, I hate the Redskins.”

Justice Scalia said that when he does tune in to the game, it’s as a Dallas Cowboys fan.

His statement comes as Robert Griffin III, the Redskins’ quarterback, is due to start in the team’s opener on Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles, just eight months after tearing ligaments in his right knee.

Justice Scalia was speaking in Houston when he make the comment, in answer to an audience member who asked about his thoughts on the Redskins.
