NEW IBERIA, La. (AP) - State police say a three-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 90 left a Jeanerette man dead and two New Iberia residents injured.

Trooper Stephen Hammons says 47-year-old Jarwin Bourque died at a hospital from injuries suffered in the Monday afternoon crash.

Hammons says 21-year-old Dawn Broussard, of New Iberia, was traveling east on U.S. 90 when she ran off the side of the highway, through the median and begin driving in the opposite lane.

While in the opposite lane, she struck Bourque’s car and a third car driven by 49-year-old Charles Robertson, of New Iberia.

The accident remains under investigation.
