ATLANTA (AP) - Fire officials say they’re investigating a suspected incendiary device that was found outside of a southeast Atlanta high school.

Atlanta Fire Rescue spokeswoman Janet Ward says authorities were called to a small fire outside Alonzo Crim Open Campus High School Tuesday afternoon. Ward says the fire appears to have stemmed from a plastic bottle filled with an unknown accelerant and paper towels.

Ward says the fire was extinguished by a janitor before firefighters arrived, and arson investigators were also called to the scene.

No injuries have been reported. Atlanta Public School officials say police, fire and Department of Homeland Security officials responded and the incident is under investigation.
