EL PASO, Texas (AP) - Hyundai Motor America has signed a deal to continue sponsoring the Sun Bowl for another six years.

Officials on Monday announced the extension of the automotive company’s sponsorship through 2019. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Hyundai began sponsoring the college football game in 2009.

The Sun Bowl is the nation’s second oldest and features one of the top teams in the Pac-12 Conference squaring off against one in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The 81st Hyundai Sun Bowl is scheduled to be played in El Paso on Dec. 27 at Sun Bowl Stadium. CBS Sports will broadcast the game for the 47th year.

The game has averaged more than 50,000 fans each year over the last decade.
