BARCELONA, Spain (AP) - Atletico Madrid says that striker Diego Costa is an injury doubt for the return leg of its Champions League quarterfinal against Barcelona after injuring his hamstring in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw.

Diego Costa limped off after 30 minutes after pulling up clutching his right thigh. The striker made way for substitute Diego Ribas, who went on to open the scoring at the Camp Nou. Neymar scored Barcelona’s equalizer in the 71st.

“We’ll see tomorrow how bad it is,” Atletico coach Diego Simeone said.

Diego Costa is Atletico’s top scorer with 33 goals and his absence for the return leg on April 9 at the Vicente Calderon Stadium would be a major blow.

“Let’s hope we can count on Diego Costa, we need him,” Atletico midfielder Tiago said.
