WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (AP) - The victim at the center of a high-profile poisoning case has been convicted of trespassing, criminal mischief and harassment in connection with an unrelated incident at her ex-husband’s home last fall.

The Luzerne County jury also on Tuesday acquitted 44-year-old Dawn Simyan of burglary.

Police said Simyan smashed a window and pounded on the door of her ex-husband’s house at 3:40 a.m. Sept. 22 and threatened to kill him.

The incident occurred about two weeks before Simyan testified at the trial of Helen Galli.

Galli, the octogenarian mother of Simyan’s then-boyfriend, was convicted of putting antifreeze in a juice drink in March 2010 and giving it to her son for Simyan.



Simyan fought back from potentially fatal kidney failure.

Galli is now serving prison time.
