FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - A north Florida man faces DUI and careless driving charges after his car rear-ended a sheriff’s patrol car.
The Florida Highway Patrol says 25-year-old Stephen Lee Coleman was heading west near Fernandina Beach on Thursday evening when he hit the vehicle driven by 45-year-old William Wettstein.
The Florida Times-Union (https://bit.ly/OO9TPv) reports Wettstein and his passenger, 29-year-old Eric Oliver, suffered minor injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment. They are deputies for the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office.

Coleman wasn’t injured in the crash.
Troopers say Coleman had been drinking but didn’t provide further details.
