CUSTER, S.D. (AP) - A Hill City man has been named the new director of the 1881 Courthouse Museum in downtown Custer.

The Rapid City Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1hJe0TX ) that Gary Enright was appointed by the museum’s Board of Trustees to the position and will begin his duties on April 15.

Enright is originally from Timber Lake and recently moved to the Black Hills after retiring from a career in management. He has a background in association management and historical research.

He replaces Sandy Ackman who retired in January after serving as director of the museum since 2008.
