ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) - St. Petersburg Police say a man with post-traumatic stress disorder opened fire on a car, killing one man and injuring two others.

Police spokesman Mike Puetz says Jason Faber opened fire on the parked car late Saturday “without any obvious provocation.” One man in the car was injured and the other was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Puetz says a third man was injured by a stray bullet that entered his nearby home.

When police caught up with him more than an hour later, Puetz says Faber attempted to flee. Investigators say Faber’s wife told them that he suffered from PTSD.

Faber was held at the Pinellas County jail on charges of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and fleeing law enforcement. Jail records didn’t show whether he had an attorney.
