BURLINGTON, N.C. (AP) - Investigators in Alamance County are trying to figure out if a woman found dead in a plastic storage bin is linked to a suspicious fire at a Burlington home.

Police say two women are missing from the house which burned Friday. Authorities say the fire was reported about two hours after a highway worker found the body in the bin about 6 miles away.

Burlington Police say they aren’t certain the woman in the bin was a resident of the home and they haven’t determined her identity. They also haven’t found either of the missing women.

An autopsy found no physical injuries to the woman found in the bin. Pathologists are waiting for the results of toxicology tests to determine a cause of death.
