MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - More than 100 members of a New Hampshire Army National Guard unit are being honored in Manchester.

U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen and U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter are among the officials celebrating the recent return of the 237th Military Police Company at a Freedom Salute event Sunday afternoon. The unit returned earlier this year from a yearlong deployment in Afghanistan, where members conducted combat support, convoy security and helped mentor the Afghan National Police.

The ceremony is being held at Southern New Hampshire University.
